Alexa Park Las Vegas: A Neil Diamond Tribute

ROB GARRETT’S “King of Diamonds” Las Vegas tribute show keeps going strong in the “Alexis Park Modern Showrooms” at Alexis Park Las Vegas Hotel.

The legendary Neil Diamond is one of the most successful and beloved singer/songwriters in rock and pop music history.

In addition to being one of the biggest selling and most successful live artists ever, he’s also composed the soundtrack of our lives — including some of the most famous songs on the planet.

In the beginning of 2018, shortly before his 77th birthday, Neil Diamond retired from touring after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

However, Diamond’s on-stage legacy continues to be celebrated for audiences throughout the world through longtime Las Vegas performer Rob Garrett, known as America’s premier Neil Diamond tribute performer.

Ask Alexa “who is America’s number one Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll get the same answer.

Like his legendary counterpart, Rob Garrett was born in Brooklyn, NY.

In the spring of 1974, his parents relocated from New York City to Las Vegas, where, at age 16, he witnessed his first live Neil Diamond show when Diamond made his attendance-breaking Las Vegas debut at the Aladdin Hotel’s “Theater for the Performing Arts” in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him another 16 times across the country—right up until Diamond’s final U.S. concert at the Los Angeles Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett created his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a successful 15-year run in Las Vegas and across the nation before making the move from lead singer of a cover band to a full-time tribute performer dedicated to one of his boyhood inspirations.

In 1995, Garrett was selected by Paul Revere, leader of “The Raiders” to portray Neil Diamond in the “Legends in Concert” show in Honolulu, Hawaii.

What was meant to be a three-month trial turned into a three-year success.

By August 1998, Garrett was back in Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another two years before deciding to launch his own show.

He began a busy tour circuit, building a devoted fan base along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds.”

He continues to perform to sold-out venues nationwide, often in venues that typically host major artists.

Garrett has also received multiple accolades, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since Neil Diamond retired, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19, 2025 officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating Rob’s 50 years as a Las Vegas resident and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in 2025, Garrett celebrates 45 America Neil Diamond tribute Las Vegas years on stage in Las Vegas, with the last three decades devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has performed his show at more Las Vegas venues than any other tribute artist.

Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only active Neil Diamond tribute production in America.

Alexis Park Hotel Las Vegas is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., about a quarter mile from Paradise Road.
